Ratbirds. Spray-On Shoes. Monkey Thought Translators. These are the inventions of Flint Lockwood, an eccentric young scientist whose creations have made him the laughingstock of Swallow Falls. This town was once famous for its sardine canneries, until the day people realized that sardines are, well, kind of gross. But that all changes when Flint comes up with a machine that converts water into food. Nobody will ever have to eat sardines again! From now on, everyone in the newly named town of Chewandswallow can eat all of their favourite foods: pancakes, eggs, pizza, and even ice cream! But things soon go awry, and the forecast for Flint's success quickly changes from sunny-side up to cloudy with a chance of meatballs!
